On Alzheimer's

True, I will forget my life as I am living
I will cease to exist although I am breathing
The past holds nothing more in its grasp once so tight
The memories will fade to be darker than night

True, each day is a day of mourning
The world around me turns and alone I am standing
Silence will be my song, confusion fills my mind
Certainty of what I know I will never ever find

True, it seems that I have lost everything
I walk in an endless road forever searching
All things will have vanished and light dims in my quest
But I will keep on fighting, my spirit will not rest

True I will forget my life as I am living
But I swear my heart will never stop loving
Search the depths of my soul 'til the end of my days
There lies a picture of you, no illness can erase
